PFO plans economic cooperation with Ukraine

Michael Babich, the plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga Federal District (PFO) has discussed with Igor Melnichuk, the Consul General of Ukraine in Nizhni Novgorod possibility of PFO economic mission in Ukraine.

During the meeting, besides an issue of trade and economic mission of PFO regions in Ukraine, possible carrying out of Russian-Ukrainian economic forum in the territory of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region was also discussed. Terms and contents of this event will be defined by the country leaders.

Also during the meeting Michael Babich raised the questions of interaction of Volga Federal District regions with subjects of Ukraine. Goods turnover volumes, and also the problems interfering development of steady economic relations were discussed also.

It should be mentioned that the plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in PFO regularly holds working meetings with representatives of the states participating in trade, economic and industrial cooperation with regions of the district.
