Ufa park of electric transport was replenished with new trolley buses

Five new trolley buses with low level of the floor, purchased within the limits of the city electric transport modernization program appeared in Ufa.

“At support of the President of the republic last year 10 trolley buses and four trams were purchased. All this vehicles are executed according to energy saving technologies. So, for example, the given trolley buses save to 30-35 percent of the electric power in comparison with the previous analogues, and trams — to 40 percent,” the head of the city Irek Yalalov says.

Irek Yalalov also marks that today electric transport carries one quarter of all passengers, and it is 55 million people a year. Besides, now the Ufa experts conduct design works to develop high-speed types of ground transport vehicles — a tram and metro-bus.

The new trolley buses by the "Bashkir Trolleybus Plant» for convenience of disabled people areequipped with a sliding ramp, and their salon is provided with additional hand-rails and seat belts a place for wheelchair persons.

In total within the limits of the city electric transport modernization program it is planned to purchase 100 trolley buses, 100 trams and 20 electric buses in 2013-2015.
