Passenger traffic volume at international flights grew by 33 percent at the Ufa Airport

The growth of passenger traffic volume at the international directions made 33 % in 2012, at domestic directions by 14 %, Ivan Tikhonov, the general director of International Ufa Airport informed at the session of board of Bashkortostan Customs.

For a year it served 1,93 million passengers. On this indicator the Ufa Airport is included into the TOP-10 of Russia.

In 2013 the international directions also should increase by nearly 30 %. This year three foreign airlines more will be served at the airport: two Greek and one Spanish company.

As a whole for today the Ufa Airport serves about 50 airlines, 30 of them — on a regular basis.

Among the most expected innovations of the next years is construction of a new international terminal with throughput capacity of 500 passengers per hour. The capacity of the present terminal is 200 passengers. «The design works are conducted over the terminal. Preliminary coordination was passed», the general director of International Ufa Airport informed.
