Ufa City Council returns land plots not used by builders through court action

10 claims for exemption of land plots not used for its intended purpose in Ufa are considered now in the courts. According to the City Council, four plots were allocated for construction of multiple-dwelling houses, six plots — for other objects.

The total area of released land plots will make 248,6 thousand square metres. From them about 217 thousand square metres were allocated for housing construction.

“Neglected territories exterior worsens the city landscape, inefficient use of the allocated plots negatively affects the economic situation, the budget revenues,” it is said in the City Council press release. “In the circumstances if tenants do not have lawful excuse on construction delay, the municipality is compelled to resort to return of land plots. It is carried out in a judicial proceeding”.
