Today is the first Cyber Monday in Russia

On January 28, large Internet shops of Russia sell the goods with considerable discounts. The first discounts were declared by retailers - members of Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT).

Cyber Monday is one of the major dates for American consumers. The first action took place in 2005. Then the name was also invented. As "Vedomosti" marks, in 2011 on Cyber Monday the Internet- retailers received a gain of 1,251 billion dollars. In 2012 on that day the receipts of the largest American retailers were by 30 % higher than the year before. The event is held in the USA in December. In China the day of Internet sales is spent in November.

The organizer of the Russian Cyber Monday is the chairman of AKIT committee on standardization Maxim Faldin. «Total in Russia more than 60 million people use the Internet, but only 15 % of them make purchases in the network,” Maxim Faldin informed the correspondent of RIA Novosti News Agency. “And up to 70 % of people use the network while choosing some goods —look through reviews, study models and so on”.

Earlier participants of the Russian event informed that the prices for the goods will be lowered by 5-70 % depending on goods category for a day. In particular, six the largest retailers AKIT will offer the goods with discounts online.
