Government of Bashkortostan and JSOC Bashneft will sign an ecological agreement

The agreement between the Government of Bashkortostan and JSOC Bashneft on preservation of the environment is planned to be signed in the near future. «We have already almost finished the coordination of this document», the Group’s President, the Chairman of Board of JSOC Bashneft Alexander Korsik informed journalists on Thursday.

According to Korsik, Bashneft’s liabilities, first of all, «are related to installation of control equipment on potential sources of emissions into the atmosphere at the plants». Monitoring is supposed to be organised in the real time mode. The President of the company does not deny the fact of the atmosphere pollution in the city, but considers that the indications of gauges will readdress claims concerning ecological problems in Ufa to other industrial enterprises.

Bashneft aspires to lower the loading on the atmosphere at the expense of upgrading programs. «In process of reconstruction of installations we try to use such equipment that leads to the minimum negative consequences for the environment», Alexander Korsik said.
