Bashneft increased the number of Board of Directors

The new Board membership of JSOC Bashneft was confirmed at the Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders of the company convened the day before in Ufa. At the session of Board of Directors the Chairman was elected. Felix Evtushenkov, the vice-president of JSFC "Sistema" — the main shareholder of Bashneft will continue to chair the Board.

Number of members of the Board was increased from 10 to 12 — the representation of independent directors was expanded. New members of the Board are the Chief Executive Officer of Argos Group Holding B. V. Peter Goedvolk and executive vice-president of JSFC "Sistema" on power assets development Mikhail Cherniy.

Charles Watson, Executive Vice President for Russia and the Caspian Region of Royal Dutch Shell plc, the former president of World Petroleum Council Randall Gossen, in the past the minister of natural resources of the Russian Federation, and nowadays director of «Central scientific research institute of ship-building industry "Centre" Vitaly Artyuhov and the president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB Yuriy Pustovgarov remained in the status of independent directors.
