Rosselhoznadzor did not let quarantine plants to Bashkortostan

The Directorate of Rosselhoznadzor (Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision) on Bashkortostan Republic revealed four kinds of quarantine objects last year at examination of quarantine products. These were richweed, Frankliniella occidentalis, Bidens pilosa L. and golden nematode. Production contaminated with quarantine weeds was directed for the technical processing, the infected flowers were destroyed.

According to the Directorate of Rosselhoznadzor on RB, experts spent 921 checks for the past year, owing to which 727 infringements of the legislation in the field of quarantine plants were revealed, 345 reports on administrative offences were made, administrative penalties for the sum of 157,6 thousand roubles were imposed. Besides, inspections on revealing of quarantine objects in 23 regions of the republic over the area of more than 425 thousand hectares were spent. Territories of 210 agricultural organisations, three breeding nurseries, 38 hothouse facilities, 17 forest areas were surveyed.
