Oil refining factories are ready to manufacture high eco-class fuel in Bashkiria

From the beginning of 2013 a ban for fuel turnover of the second class ("Euro-2") is imposed in Russia. Respective amendments to technical regulations were approved by the Government of the country in the autumn 2011. Then the decision to prolong turnover of gasoline and diesel fuel "Euro-2" till December 31, 2012, "Euro-3" — till December 31, 2014, "Euro-4" — till December 31, 2015 was accepted.

The main reason of such decision was that 50 % of domestic car owners used for that moment gasoline of "Euro-2" class and lower. Besides, the authorities were afraid that oil refining factories would not be able to produce necessary volume of fuel of high ecological class.

Meanwhile, as the press-service of JSOC "Bashneft" informs, transition to manufacture of fuel of high ecological classes was planned at Ufa Oil Refining Factory even from the moment of preparation of corresponding technical regulations. Now all motor fuel made at "Bashneft" Oil Refining Factory corresponds to requirements of technical regulations not lower than the 3rd ecological class. The main volume of fuel corresponds to the forth ecological class ("Euro-4"), according to demand structure in wholesale trade. Since July, 2012 "Bashneft" sells automobile gasoline and diesel fuel only of the 5th ecological class ("Euro-5") through its own network of fuel stations.

As the company press-service marks, at planned execution of all projects implemented now, "Bashneft" will completely focused on production of motor fuel ("Euro-5") within the year of 2014.
