Ufa Airport works normally despite a blizzard

Ufa International Airport despite a snowfall lasting for the second day, works normally. Today, on December 28, at night and in the morning all scheduled flights were sent, and also planes from other airports were accepted according to the schedule.

Passengers of the flight to Samara are waiting their departure: the Ufa airport is used by the airlines as an alternative.

Powerful cyclone covered a considerable part of the central and Volga regions, and also other parts of the country. For this reason the day before there were numerous delays of flights. Now the situation is stabilised, though weather forecasters promise bad weather continuation.

“We use a patrol cleaning procedure of the territory for cleaning of runways and platforms from snow. The work is going round-the-clock. About 20 units of snow-removal machinery are engaged there,” Tagir Muhametshin, the head of public relations department of JSC Ufa International Airport informs. “We successfully overcame the first failure during the winter season because of weather conditions. We hope that nothing will prevent stable work of the airport.”
