Winter crops losses are expected at the level of 10-12 percent in Bashkiria

Despite frosts winter crops losses in Russia keep on the average level so far and make eight-nine percent. As to Bashkortostan, according to the head of progressive technologies of plant growing and land improvement department of the Ministry of Agriculture RB Arthur Nugumanov, the winter crops ruin is expected at the level of 10-12 percent. Plants were fed up with necessary fertilizers before wintering. The single danger is that not in all areas a sufficient snow cover was established previous to frosts.

More exact data about winter crops state will be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture RB in February.

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB, in 2012 the basis for the next year crop was laid on the area of 489 thousand hectares.
