Exhibition «Fashion of the Soviet epoch» will be opened in the National Museum
The exhibition «Fashion of the Soviet epoch» will be opened in the National Museum of Bashkortostan Republic on December 14.
The exposition includes clothes and accessories, typical for every decade in the history of the Soviet Union. Visitors of the exhibition will see dresses, jackets, raincoats, coats, suits, headdresses and footwear of 1940 — the end of 1980-es, bags, finery, cosmetic production by TEZHE and "Dzintars", famous magazines for which all Soviet fashionmongers hunted, — «Rigas Modes», "Silhouette", Burda. In total about 100 subjects are exposed.
“The exhibition is formed from repository collections,” the head of ethnography department of the National Museum RB Elvira Hamidullina informs. “The fashion from the past became popular again — you can see people in coats from the 60-es, skirts "maxi" from the 70-es and footwear of those years. All exhibits are original, bought from the population. Also rare objects were brought on storage by our employees.”
