Republican Government discussed work of Sterlitamak enterprises and ecology issues
Issues of ecology and development prospects of city-forming enterprises of Sterlitamak were discussed at the Government of Bashkortostan. The session was headed by the first Deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Rauf Nugumanov. Except members of the Government members of the Board of Directors of JSC "Soda" took part in the session. Sergey Ivanushkin said about the present state of the enterprises, and also reposrted that the investment programs facilitating the solution of environmental problems existing in Sterlitamak were realised then.
“For the last years we have a situation when the river White suffers from low water and, accordingly if industrial volumes are to be increased, then maximum permissible concentration of chlorides may be exceeded,” Sergey Ivanushkin informs. “Therefore waste disposal is a natural constraint for us at increasing production volumes as the ecological component is an important element. The investment program realised at "Soda" company will allow overcoming the restrictions which we have at present. In particular, the liquid filtration station is under construction, which will separate solid waste from liquid waste. In this connection, this year the company’s Board of Directors made a decision to increase production volumes of chloride calcium by 100 thousand tons. This program will be started and realised during the next years. Thus, we solve two tasks: production output will be increased and the environmental problem will be solved,” Sergey Ivanushkin assured the attendants.
