Banking Workers Day of Russia - on December 2

The Banking Workers Day is marked in Russia on December 2. The date is defined due to the fact that in 1990 this day two laws were passed, which laid foundation to the modern Russian banking system formation — «On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Bank of Russia)» and «On banks and banking activity».

In Bashkiria 96 credit institutions work today. Enterprises of real economy actively use banking services: from the beginning of current year the volume of credits which were issued to republican organizations grew by 27 percent having made 459 billion roubles. The credit institutions participate in financing of investment projects, including the priority ones for the republic. Thus, as part of the republican program of agriculture development more than five thousand credit facilities were granted for the total sum of 11 billion roubles that is by 15 times higher than the established target reference point. Also Bashkortostan residents willingly use services of banks. For example, this year a historical maximum is reached on mortgage housing financing –its volume made 18,6 billion roubles as of November 1, that in one and a half times exceeds the results of 2011.
