Since January 1, 2013 the minimum wage rate in Russia is 5205 roubles

Since January 1, 2013 the minimum wage rate (MROT) will increase in Russia up to 5205 roubles. The federal law «On making amendments to Article 1 of the Federal law «Concerning the minimum wage rate» is already accepted by the State Duma.
Presently the minimum wage rate is equal to 4611 roubles. Accordingly, the minimum wage rate increase will make almost 13 percent, the press-service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB informs.
The main task of the minimum wage rate increase is to get it reach the minimum living wage. By April 1, 2013 the Ministry of Labour RF plans to develop the step-by-step plan on MROT bringing to the living wage.
