Ufa requires industrial development strategy – the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB

At the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan the working expert group under the name «Ufa, Industry, Competence, Development» will be created. Its task is to collect all perspective offers for the analysis and transferring of expert community opinions to the city to have a strategy of its industrial development.

At the round-table conference past within the limits of the Ural Industrial Forum the directors of engineering companies, representatives of city administration and public organisations discussed ways of Ufa industry development.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB Yuriy Pustovgarov expressed his confidence that an industrial zone for manufacture of car components, on the basis of "Witzenmann" enterprise should be created in Ufa and in case of its expansion car components for all assembly conveyors of the country should be made on a turn-key basis.

In turn the deputy head of Ufa administration Albina Yusupova marked that the basis of the city industry was constituted by 200 large enterprises. In 2011 the volume of shipment of their production made 53 %.

“We take the first place among million-cities on volume of shipped production,” Albina Yusupova reports. “Thus 65 % of total amount of shipped production fall on "Bashneft". It is huge dependence. We should concentrate on mechanical engineering, instrument making and to revive light industry.”

As the republican press-service of CCI reports, Yuriy Pustovgarov also supported discussion that the future of Ufa would be in hi-tech mechanical engineering and outsourcing business round the large industrial enterprises.

Participants of the round-table conference agreed in opinion what only the expert community should formulate trends.

”Strategic decisions should be made on the basis of situation modelling – economic and mathematical,” the vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry RB Vyacheslav Kruzhkov marked, the curator of the project “Centre of Precision Mechanical Engineering RB”.
