Minister of Agriculture RB: «Good rates of cattle breeding development in Bashkortostan»

In Bashkortostan there are good rates of cattle breeding development, the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolay Kovalenko marked at the briefing on November 6.

“For nine months 2012 we produced 1,4 million tons of milk, 260 thousand tons of meat, including poultry. This is by five and two percent accordingly more than the level of the last year,” the head of department informed.

As the Minister underlined, till the end of the year it is planned to keep up to the set rates and to bring volumes of milk output in the region to 1,7 million tons, meat – to 380 thousand tons. It is also important to save positive dynamics on cattle and poultry livestock. The expected growth is at the level of one-two percent.

As to agricultural products processing the index of industrial production of foodstuff for January-September, 2012 made 104,5 percent in Bashkortostan. In the republic manufacture of whole-milk products, dairy butter, meat and offal, vegetable oil, confectionery products, flour and groats is increased from the beginning of the year. According to Nikolay Kovalenko, it is expected further increase in production.
