It is sold more than 24 thousand tons of vegetables, meat and honey at autumn fairs in Bashkiria

More than 24 thousand tons of vegetables, meat and honey are sold by farmers at autumn fairs taken place in Bashkiria. Thus the lion's share of the realised agricultural products falls on potatoes. From September till October it is sold in the region over 12 thousand tons, the State Committee RB on Trade and Consumer Protection informs.
Besides, visitors of weekly agricultural fairs purchased for winter 5,5 thousand tons of onion, about 5 thousand tons of cabbage, carrots and beet, and also over 1,6 thousand tons of meat.
“In 2012 the total amount of sold products at autumn fairs remains at the level of the last year. Meanwhile, cost of cabbage, beet and carrots this year is above the last year's by 64,7 %, 50 % and 12 %, accordingly. Price for onion, in comparison with 2011 decreased by 11,2 %, and the price for potatoes remained the same. Honey at fairs was sold on average at 310 roubles per kg that is cheaper by 4,7 %, than the last year,” the press-secretary of State Committee RB on Trade and Consumer Protection Aida Hairullina marks.
The prices for beef varied at autumn fairs in the region from 170 to 280 roubles per kg, pork — from 120 to 260 roubles, lamb meat — from 180 to 280 roubles per kg.
It should be reminded that on the threshold of the New Year, in Bashkiria meat fairs start since December 15. They will last till December 30.
