Competition of the best innovative projects started in Bashkortostan

On October 29, a final session of innovative projects competition under the program of the Fund of Small Enterprises Development Assistance in Scientific and Technical Sphere "UMNIK" started in Ufa.

As the press-service of Bashkortostan Academy of Sciences informs, 43 authors of the best projects who passed preliminary selection in republican universities and research organisations will take part in the final. Competitors will present their projects in five scientific directions: «Information Technologies», «Future Medicine», «Modern Materials and Technologies of their Creation», «New Devices and Hardware Complexes», "Biotechnologies".

The commission of experts will estimate the projects. It includes experts on commercialization of innovative projects, patent specialists, leading experts of universities and research organisations, scientists from the Academy of Sciences RB.

The competition results will be summed up on October 30. Projects of winners will be financed by the Fund of Small Enterprises Development Assistance in Scientific and Technical Sphere to complete research and development.

The main task of the program "UMNIK" is to reveal talented young scientists and innovative businessmen. The Fund annually allocates 500 million roubles for financing of the program. Winners of the competition will receive the grant in the amount of 200 thousand roubles, and also possibility to realise their projects in one of small innovative enterprises with whom the Fund concludes the state contract.
