Meat and milk manufacture grows in Bashkiria

For first nine months 2012 it was made 260 thousand tons of meat in Bashkortostan. One year ago this indicator was a little lower, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.

As a whole over the region, the number of cattle, horses, sheep, goats and poultry remains stable.

Besides, from January till September current year in regional farms milk yield was by three percent higher than for the similar period of the last year. From this volume almost 590 thousand tons were sold, that also exceeds indicators of 2011. As the press-service of Ministry of Agriculture RB reports, in the republic the increase in the process industry output is observed. Thus, for January-August, 2012 the industrial production index of foodstuff made 104,5 percent.

The situation with technical maintenance improved also. State support in the form of subsidising of purchased machinery allowed the Bashkir farmers to get from the beginning of year about 2700 units of agricultural machinery. One year ago in the republic 2566 units of agricultural equipment were bought which total cost reached then 3,1 billion roubles.
