About 3000 energy saving lamps are installed in Ufa

Now, almost 3000 energy saving lamps, 53 kilometres of self supporting covered wires,187 light towers are established in Ufa. The work is conducted within the limits of the program «Exterior lighting systems modernisation in settlements RB», realised at the initiative of the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov. As the press-service of the Ufa city council informs, works are finished by 65 % at present.

Besides, 11 kilometres of wires are replaced, 450 support towers, 358 fixtures, 170 transport and 117 pedestrian, 126 traffic lights with timing, 36 devices with acoustic signaling for safety of visually impaired citizens are established in the republic capital.

“Perhaps, at first sight, these are boring figures. But they testify to real improvement of the city environment,” the head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov marks. “Earlier in the city it was established 100-200 lamps per year. Now there is a breakthrough – more than 2000 lamps.”
