Airport "Ufa" is ready to welcome the 1,5-millionth passenger

International airport "Ufa" is going to welcome the 1,5-millionth passenger from the beginning of year. This event is expected within the next few days. In total for nine months of current year 1 455313 passengers were served at the Ufa airport, 9446 sorties were made, the take-off weight of the arrived and departed aircrafts made 521237 tons.

In comparison with indicators of 2011 by quantity of the served passengers growth made 14 %, by sorties — 6 %, by take-off weight — 3 %.

This year the geography of flights to the CIS countries, the near abroad, Europe and Africa essentially extended, direct regular flights to Czechia, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece were opened, the quantity of flights to the United Arab Emirates, Turkey was increased. Besides, development of routing network of aviation transportations in Russia proceeds.

“Airport “Ufa” becomes the centre of attention of the international public in 2015 as in Ufa it is planned to carry out the summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS. The enterprise prepares for these significant events already now,” the head of public relations department of International airport “Ufa” Tagir Muhametshin underlined. “The special attention will be paid to the air-terminal complex, apron modernisation, and service quality improvement at the airport.”

It should be reminded that the millionth passenger was served this year on July 23, a month earlier, than the last year.
