AirArabia Airlines opens flights to Ufa

Ufa became the fourth direction in the routing network of AirArabia airlines in Russia: on October 3, the first flight was made to Sharjah from "Ufa" airport. The new international air carrier will make direct regular flights twice a week.

The press conference devoted to this event took place in JSC “International airport “Ufa”.

“With coming of AirArabia airlines we received one more window to the South East Asia and we are very satisfied with this fact,” the deputy general director of the International airport "Ufa" on commercial and social affairs Wilhelm Kapp said. “Since 1992 Bashkir pilots regularly flied to the Emirates, and then the epoch of charter flights began. Direct flights in the Asian direction are opened in addition to that which are already available. Today 118 passengers departed to Sharjah – quite good loading for the first flight. We hope that more passengers will fly to our city too. Our airport has resources for increase passenger transportations. By 2015 when in Ufa carrying out of SCO summits and BRICS is expected, scale changes to be happen at the Ufa airport. The issues of terminals construction, the platform widening, acquisition of new equipment are solved.
