Target-oriented program on water resources development is developed in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan the republican target-oriented program «Development of water resources RB for 2013 – 2020» is developed.

One of the program main tasks is to liquidate water resources deficiency in low water areas of the republic by construction of water basins and reconstruction of hydraulic power systems of operating water basins, Olga Lazdina acting as the Minister of Nature Management and Ecology RB reported at the eighth session of Kamsky basin council in Kirov.

Besides, the program means carrying out of actions to preserve water content of water objects and arrangement of springs, to reduce negative anthropogenic influence on water objects.

The program includes activity on water objects monitoring –bottoms, banks, state and type of water protection zones usage, construction and reconstruction of engineering protection structures of total length about 110,02 km. 13 projects on construction of new water basins and reconstruction of hydraulic power systems at operating water basins, repair of 83 hydraulic engineering constructions are also included in the target-oriented program.

Activity on ecological rehabilitation of water objects on the total area of 1153,5 hectares is provided in the program.

Now the program project undergoes reconciliation procedure in the Government of Bashkortostan, the press-service of the Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology RB informs.
