Till the end of the year sanitation cutting will cover 10 thousand hectares of forest in Bashkiria

From the beginning of the year sanitation cutting was conducted on 4 thousand hectares of forests in Bashkiria, clear cutting was made almost on 100 hectares. 100 hectares of forests more were cleared from the accumulated garbage, the Ministry of Forestry RB informs.

“Carrying out of sanitation and clear cutting in the region were strongly affected by forest fires blazing during the summer. Now the situation is more stable, works are being conducted, thus the volume planned till the end of year – 10 thousand hectares of forests covered by sanitation and clear cutting, will be executed,” the chief of department of forest protection of the Ministry of Forestry RB Rafael Naushirvanov underlined.

As he said, works are now carrying out practically in all areas of the republic. The cut timber then is sold to the population at discount prices and used, as a rule, as fire wood.
