Terms to complete harvest shifted in Bashkortostan

During the harvest 1,724 million tons of grain were collected in the republic. Bread crops are gathered on the area of 1,519 million hectares, that is almost 90 % of total territory, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs. On average mechanizers receive 11,3 centners of grain per hectare. As experts assume, total gathering of bread crops will make about 2 million tons this year.

As a whole, harvesting is already nearing completion in the region. Small-scale works proceed in Northeast and Trans-Urals areas. It is connected with that grain crops with various terms of ripening are cultivated here. Earlier it was planned to finish gathering by August, 25, but pace of works decreased because of weather conditions. It is required less than 10 days to agricultural workers to finish harvesting completely.

Now farmers of the republic actively started gathering of late groats – buckwheat and millet.
