Conference «Regional system of water supply» took place in Bashkortostan Embassy in Moscow

In the Embassy of Bashkortostan Republic at the President RF in Moscow the inter-regional conference «Regional system of water supply. Experience of new technologies introduction» took place. Governments of Moscow and Bashkortostan Republic acted as its organizers. The forum was held at support of the "Russzembank», studying possibility to invest into the federal target-oriented program «Pure water» in the republic.

RCC Group Company already for two years holding the forum «Big Chemistry» in Ufa acted as the operator of the conference. Necessity to upgrade water supply systems in the republic became one of the main subjects to discuss. Already till the end of this year Bashkortostan plans to enter requirements to quality of water used by consumers, meeting to European standards more strict in comparison with operating today on average across Russia.

One of the first necessary steps is universal replacement in the republican water supply system of steel pipes having short service life for modern polymeric ones, more harmless, durable and economic. The offer to develop with that end in view till December 31, 2012 a special republican program of water supply system modernization was included in May this year in the resolution of II International Forum «Big chemistry» in Ufa.

The amount of work will be huge – wear of municipal water mains in the Russian Federation makes up to 80 %, more than half of Russia’s population is provided with water not meeting to operating SanPiN requirements. Full stage-by-stage replacement of worn out water mains will take from 5 till 7 years in the country. In Bashkortostan the situation is similar to the all-Russian. Its water supply system includes 14000 km of pipelines from which in Ufa, for example, only 9 % are made from modern polymers. Full reconstruction of republican water supply with creation of necessary manufactures will cost, by estimations of experts, from 15 to 20 billion roubles and also it will take from 5 till 7 years.
