Expert council on mass communications is created in Russia

The expert council on mass communications will help to optimize the mass media work. The order on its creation was signed by the head of Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications (Roskomnadzor) Alexander Zharov, the department website informs.

New body is advisory-consultative; its decisions are of recommendation nature. Among the primary goals of the council is preparation of offers and recommendations for service concerning application of the legislation RF in the field of mass communications and mass-media taking into account public opinion and experience of law-enforcement practices, maintenance of legislation observance in the field of mass communications and mass-media, methodical support of law enforcement activity in the field of mass communications and mass-media.

The expert council structure includes representatives of professional community, public organisations and scientific circles.
