Half of Russians does not believe in the future crisis - All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center

Opinions of Russians concerning possible economic crisis were divided practically fifty-fifty. Half of participants of the public opinion polling spent by the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VTSIOM) assure they do not discuss this subject in their circle of contacts while 45 percent of respondents admit that they actively speak about the issue. The remained five percent are undecided to give an unambiguous answer.

Despite mostly nevertheless optimistic mood of compatriots, VTSIOM experts mark that today this issue is topical, as well as in September, 2008 when 46 percent of interrogated spoke about the crisis.

It is informed also, that Russians over 35 years discuss this topic most actively. Thus inhabitants of Moscow and St.-Petersburg believe in crisis more than others. In capitals this figure makes 62 percent, while only 26 percent in other million cities.
