Preliminary damage from crop shortage exceeds 2,5 billion roubles in Bashkiria

In the Ministry of Agriculture RB an emergency response center on studying of damage from the drought is created. Also three response teams on inspection of agricultural crops are organised at the department. At present they surveyed 46 areas of the republic. Because of the drought the crop was damaged on the area of more than 410 thousand hectares. According to preliminary data, actual damage is estimated as more than 2,5 billion roubles. It was discussed at the expanded session of the Government of the republic, taken place on August 6, headed by the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

As the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB – Minister of Agriculture Ernest Isaev marked in his speech, winter crops, grain legumes are practically harvested now. Gathering of barley, oats, spring wheat proceeds today. Daily grain growers make up to three percent of the areas.

Estimating the developed situation, Rustem Khamitov underlined the necessity to go into the issue how to introduce risks insurance mechanisms in agriculture, the Government RB press-service informs.
