Days of the Kingdom of Sweden to be held in Bashkortostan

The President of Republic Rustem Khamitov signed the order about carrying out the Days of the Kingdom of Sweden in Bashkortostan fr om September, 5 till September 9.

«Days of Sweden» will be held in Bashkortostan for the first time, the press-service of the head of the region informs. Their purpose is to establish business contacts between Bashkir and Swedish companies, to expand cultural-educational cooperation, to acquaint to the last achievements of Sweden in economy, culture, art, education and tourism.

The Embassy of Sweden in Russia, the Swedish Trading Council, the Government and Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Bashkortostan act as organizers of the event.

It is expected that Ufa will be visited by Sweden delegation which will include employees of the Embassy, representatives of the leading Swedish companies, artists, restaurateurs and DJs. Within the limits of the Days an opening of the visa centre specialising on issue of visas to Sweden will take place.

The program «Days of Sweden» includes also carrying out of "Week of Swedish Films» at the cinema "Rodina". Modern Swedish feature films of various genres can be seen there.

At the Bashkir State University lectures on history and culture of Sweden are planned. From September 7 till September 9, «Days of Sweden» will be held in the Shopping Mall "MEGA". In one of the Ufa clubs leading Swedish DJs will show their skills.

On September 7, a seminar SymbioCity devoted to the concept of steady development of cities will take place in Ufa. Issues of complex infrastructural development of cities (smart cities), energy saving, energy efficiency increase, bio-energy and waste management will be discussed at the seminar. Within the lim its of the seminar the Swedish companies which work for a long time in these areas will share their experience and know-how.
