Bashkiria and Estonia enter into cooperation

The official delegation of Bashkortostan headed by the Deputy Prime minister of the Government RB Salavat Sagitov visited the Estonian republic to discuss plans of economic and cultural cooperation. The visit took place in the frameworks of celebrating of Paldiski Town Day. For the last eight years such trip has occurred for the first time.

The delegation fr om Bashkiria visited a business forum where cooperation possibilities between businessmen of our republic and the Baltic States were discussed.

Also representatives of our republic discussed with Paldiski mayoralty possibility to create a park and to open a museum by the name of Salavat Yulaev in the city. It is Paldiski where the Bashkir national hero spent his last 25 years of life on penal servitude.

The celebratory concert «Town Day » wh ere Estonian pop music stars took part, and also the "Dalan" band from Ufa and group of cultural society "Agidel" from Tallinn finished the cultural program. The celebration stylised under the Bashkir Sabantuy, gathered compatriots from all the Baltic.

During negotiations representatives of the Estonian city expressed a desire to visit Bashkortostan on the Day of Republic — on October 11th, "Bashinform" news agency was reported in the Committee RB on UNESCO affairs.
