More than 400 lifts to be replaced in Bashkiria in 2012

The first tranche in the current year for lifts modernization in Bashkiria will make 160 million roubles. In total till the end of the year 616,8 million roubles will be directed for replacement of 401 lifts. 303,7 million fr om them are funds of the republican budget, 282,2 million fr om budgets of municipal unities, 30,8 million from proprietors of habitation, the press-service of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities RB informs.

Financing is carried out within the lim its of the republican targeted program for 2011-2015 on lifts replacement and upgrading which worked out their standard operation time. The program provides replacement of 1458 lifts. Over 170 thousand citizens will be able to use new lifts as a result of this.

The total amount of operating lifts in the republic makes today about 8 thousand units, about 30 % of them with service life more than 25 years. Average cost of one unit is 1,5 million roubles.

According to the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, their own "lift" programs are realised only in 13 subjects of the Russian Federation. Regions wh ere out-of-date lifts are actively replaced are Moscow, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Novosibirsk, the Khanty-Mansijsk Autonomous District.
