UMPO and UGATU strengthen cooperation in research-and-production sphere

JSC «Ufa Engine-Building Production Association» (UMPO) was visited by participants of scientific-practical conference «Cooperation Development of higher educational institution science and manufacture». Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, JSC "OPK" Oboronprom", JSC "United engine corporation managing company», engine-building enterprises, branch universities of the country discussed current results of the joint project between UMPO and UGATU «Creation of technologies and industrial production of units and blades of gas-turbine engines with lightweight high-strength structures for aviation engines of new generation».

Tested and implemented in batch production innovative manufacturing techniques of units and blades of gas-turbine engines with lightweight high-strength structures for gas-turbine engines of the firth-sixth generation aircrafts should become a result of such project. At present the project is finished for 80 percent. In comparison with 2010 the quantity of students, post-graduate students and the young experts involved in the project, has increased three times, the department of corporate communications UMPO reports.

Within the limits of the event participants visited test-technological area of the "Aviation Technologies Technopark" and production floors of JSC "UMPO".
