The third from the beginning of the year interdepartmental operation "Lesovoz" will take place in Bashkiria

Due to the performed interdepartmental preventive operation "Lesovoz" (Timber carrier), in 76 subjects of Russia 962 cases of illegal felling are revealed in the first quarter of 2012. The total sum of damage inflicted to the forestry of the country, made 593,4 million roubles, the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology RF informs.

We should remind that in Bashkiria during carrying out of "Lesovoz" operation 210 cases of infringements of forest legislation are registered in the first quarter of current year. The material damage caused to the forestry of our republic exceeded 800 thousand roubles. The volume of illegally felled timber made 157,5 cubic metres or 1,1 percent from total volume of the checked up timber.

Similar operation on suppression of illegal felling was spent in Bashkortostan and in the end of May. Then the total amount of transported timber revealed during operation " Lesovoz" reached almost six thousand cubic metres. 79 infringements of forest legislation, including 15 illegal cases of forest felling were revealed.

The volume of illegally converted wood in the region exceeded already 295 cubic metres or 4,9 percent from total amount in the second quarter. The material damage caused to the forestry of our republic made about 1,8 million roubles.
