Partners from India visited JSC "UMPO"

The Ufa engine-building production association (UMPO) was visited on June 29, by representatives of JSC "Rosoboronexport" and Corporation HAL (the city of Koraput, India). They were presented tests of the engine which is issued by JSC "UMPO" for the Indian Air Forces. Also foreign visitors observed the engine AL-31FP assemblage in one of factory shops. The product is exported to India where it is established on fighter aircrafts SU-30MKI.

The Company history museum where documents and pictures telling about the 50-year-old history of cooperation UMPO and India are stored became the final point of the guests route.

JSC "UMPO" works with India on licence manufacture of engine AL-31FP in the city of Koraput. The Company rendered to foreign partners technical assistance in installation of equipment and personnel training. In 2011 in Corporation HAL branch the first engine AL-31FP was assembled and successfully passed tests there.
