Rustem Khamitov will take part in the XVI Petersburg International Economic Forum

On June 21, the XVI International International Economic Forum will be opened in the exposition centre "Lenexpo" in St.-Petersburg. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov will take part in it.

This year the forum is held under the motto «Effective Leadership». Its main topics are prevention of new wave of global crisis, a role of emerging markets, regulation of financial sector. A special priority will be traditionally given to power safety, and also discussion of Russian reforms in pension and social spheres, improvement of business climate, the country entering the WTO. In the middle of the day a report of the Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected at the plenary session.

As usually, signing of investment agreements is confined to the forum. Last year it was signed more than 50 agreements here for the sum over 200 billion roubles. This year participants and organizers expect a new record to be achieved.
