Investments into economically backward territories in Bashkiria will grant greater set of privileges

In Bashkortostan investors realising projects in subregions – the territorial associations with economic development which is below average over the republic, will be given additional preferences. President RB Rustem Khamitov came up with such a proposal at the investment forum "Zauralye-2012" which began the day before in Sibay and will finish its work today, on June 9. The Bashkir Zauralye which structure includes Abzelilovsky, Baimaksky, Zianchurinsky, Zilairsky, Uchalinsky, Haibullinsky regions and the cities of Sibay, Uchaly, Baimak, is just one of republic regions for which economic development the special program for 2011-2015 is accepted.

In the republic several laws were passed granting investors income and property tax privileges. Thus, the rate of income tax for organisations is lowered to 13,5 percent for the term from a year to five years. For the same period investors are exempted from property tax payment. Besides, now it is considered a possibility to prolong the period of the given privilege validity for the term up to 10 years in case if investment project cost exceeds five billion roubles.
