Rustem Khamitov: “We’d like to develop close cooperation with Italian partners”

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has taken part in work of the XX meeting of Russian-Italian workgroup for industrial districts and cooperation in sphere of small and medium business, opened in Ufa today, May 30.
“This forum again demonstrates the desire of our countries to consolidate the spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding. Representatives of Italy and 20 Russian regions came here to join today’s meeting. Other 400 participants present our Republic. I hope that such useful communication will contribute to development of new projects” – Rustem Khamitov said at the opening ceremony.
According to the President RB Bashkortostan is one of big and dynamically developing Russian regions and our region possesses all necessary instruments for active business cooperation.
At present time the share of Italian business in republic still remains too small and in opinion of Rustem Khamitov “the region needs active arrival of Italian business”, moreover all opportunities for such arrival are present.
Chemistry, oil refining, timber industry, furniture production, road and house building are the main directions in our joint cooperation.
“Bashkortostan is different with high level of investment security and we make maximally comfortable environment for investors. The Government RB and personally I will be responsible for protection of business, working in Bashkortostan” – Rustem Khamitov stated.
Plenary session and five “round tables” on different subject-matter will take place today.
The maximal number of participants – more than 150 – is registered at the “round table” “New technologies in sphere of building and finishing materials, eco-technologies and materials, woodworking, furniture production, interior, design and architecture, flora design”.
Participants of other “round tables” will discuss such directions as cooperation in sphere of traditional and alternative power engineering and new technologies in medicine.
