Rustem Khamitov has met with specialists of the Institute of oil chemistry and catalysis
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov indicated chemical production as one of the most promising branches of industry for Bashkortostan during his today’s meeting with employees of Ufa Institute of oil chemistry and catalysis under the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“Chemical production – big, medium and small – today our Republic can dynamically develop itself only in this way. There is no any other such oil-chemical complex as in Bashkortostan in the country” – the President RB mentioned.
Before this talk the President RB made an excursion of the Institute. In the course of this excursion the director of the Institute Usein Jemilev told him about unique designs of scientists and Institute’s assets and about conditions the scientists worked in.
“The things I can watch here really inspire but objectively our science in found in very hard situation today” – the President RB said.
According to Rustem Khamitov the share of science in Republican gross regional product is miserable, making up just 0,8% or about 7,5 billion rubles.
“It is clear that without science, scientific investigations and laboratories we can’t move forward” – the President RB said and promised all-sided assistance to Republican scientific community.
