Program for development of forestry till 2020 is approved in Bashkiria

Government RB approved long-term goal-oriented program of Republican forestry development in 2012-2020. The Ministry of forestry RB worked up the program.

The press-service of the Government RB explained that five sub-programs would cover all main directions in development of forestry: manpower and scientific-technical provision, efficient use of forests, forestry register keeping, forestry and fire supervision, reproduction of forests, protection of forests from harmful organisms and other unfavorable factors and protection of forests from fires.

Efficiency of the program will be estimated with the help of 34 most important factors and indices.

Development of the program will consist of three stages.

The first stage, meant till 2014, is oriented at implementation of efficient systems of sanitary and fire safety in the region, record and forestry register keeping, strengthening of material and technical base and guaranteed reproduction of forests.

The second stage, which realization starts in 2015 and has to be over in 2017, includes development of leasing relations, forestry management and construction of forest roads, perfection of forestry and fire supervision.

The final stage (2018-2020) should complete construction of the system of state inventory of forests and formation of efficient system of unified selection and genetic complex in Bashkiria.
