State Duma approved construction of pipeline “Yamal-Volga”

The decision concerning construction of pipeline “Western Siberia – Ural-Volga” is settled. The resolution of the parliamentary hearings, held on April 26 in State Duma, to the subject “Modern technologies of extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials from entrails: problems and solutions” has been approved yesterday. In the final document participants of the hearings recommended the Government and the Federal Assembly of Russia to support proposals of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Yamal-Nenets autonomous district concerning realization of this project. Today the leaders of these three regions signed the protocol of intent in sphere of oil and gas transportation along the route “Yamal-Volga”. As the news agency “Bashinform” reported earlier, the document was signed within the frames of the international forum “Big Chemistry”, opened in Ufa today.

The leaders of the abovementioned regions have come out with such initiative about one year ago.

In opinion of parliamentarians the project of the pipeline should be included into “The plan for development of gas-oil-chemistry in Russia till 2030”. Corresponding recommendations are addressed to the Government of Russian Federation.
