Michael Babitch: “Oil-chemical enterprises of Volga federal district have to develop economics of the country”

The international forum “Big Chemistry” in Ufa is considered the most important site in sphere of oil chemistry and oil refining for today, the Plenipotentiary of the President RF in Volga federal district Michael Babitch said. According to him the President of Russia Vladimir Putin set several basic tasks for development of national economics: first of all, this is opening of highly-qualified workplaces, the increase of the volume of investments by at least 25% by 2015 and increase of the share of high-tech branches of economics.

“Taking the fact that the oil-chemical complex is considered one of the prior directions in economics of Volga federal district into account, enterprises of Volga federal district can and have to make substantial endowment to solution of the abovementioned problems” – he mentioned – “At present time the district produces one third of national chemical output and oil reserves make up 13% of all reserves in the country. Enterprises of Volga federal district are considered one of the most progressive on implementation of products of deep oil refining”.

Michael Babitch has underscored that the strategy of social-economic development of Volga federal district till 2020 includes realization of production and investment projects.

“We have to develop the base of our oil-chemical cluster. We have to build up efficient work system of all participants in the technological chain of oil mining and oil refining companies and many tasks demand active support of the state” – the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in Volga federal district said.
