10% of Bashkir enterprises pay salaries lower than statutory minimum

Employees of every tenth Bashkir enterprise are paid less than the statutory minimum, set in the region. This is the result of the investigation, made by specialists of the Ministry of labor and population social protection RB. They’ve checked 407 Republican enterprises and violations of labor legislation were discovered at 42. The Minister of labor and population social protection RB Lenara Ivanova announced the data for the first quarter of 2012 at the last meeting of the republican three-sided commission for regulation of social-labor relations, held in the Government RB yesterday.

At that the Minister said that that for the same period of time in 2011 the ratio was approximately the same – 47 of 418 checked enterprises paid their workers not enough, i.e. slightly more than 10%. But the largest number of such violations is observed in sphere of agriculture.
