Aviation and space output, manufactured by UPPO, meets requirements of international quality standards

The Ufa instrument-making production association (UPPO) is one of few Bashkir enterprises, working for cosmos sphere. At the end of the last year the plant has received the open-ended license for space activity.

The Day of Cosmonautics, celebrated in the world today, is considered one of the most important dates for UPPO. The plant participated in mastering and production of onboard equipment for spaceships “Vostok”, “Soyuz”, for the lunar orbital spaceship, for the orbital space station “Salute” and the supply spacecraft “Progress”, for the space station “Mir” etc.

At present time UPPO actively participates in works for transport supply of the international space station (MCS). The schedule is approved by the Federal Space Agency. Ufa engineers received orders for manufacturing of hardware for the multi-targeted laboratory module. This module will be docked to the international space station for permanent and long-term work.

Besides, one more important event has occurred not long ago: the system of UPPO quality management was checked by the international certification agency “Bureau Veritas Certification” to correspondence to requirements of the international quality system AS9104A and admitted meeting the standards BS EN ISO9001:2008, EN9001:2009 and AS 9100 Rev C. The enterprise has received the corresponding certificate in February.
