The concept for forestry development is approved in Bashkortostan

The concept for Republican forestry development in 2012-2015 is approved in Bashkortostan. The corresponding resolution of the Bashkir Government is already signed.

The concept presumes the measures for raising the efficiency of forestry management, improvement of forests’ protection, foresting and peopleware of forestry.

The press-secretary of the Ministry of forestry RB Aibulat Gainulin reports the forest fund makes up more than 1/3 of the Republican territory and the total area, covered with forests, amounts to 6,3 million hectares. 5,7 million hectares are found under authority of the Ministry of forestry RB. Mountain forests, performing soil-protecting, water protecting and water regulating functions, make up more than 75% of all forest areas.
