65 young scientists pretend to grants within the frames of the program “Clever”

The first day of the final spring session of contest innovational youth projects within the frames of the program “Clever”, initiated by the Fund for assistance to development of small business in scientific-technical sphere and “BASHTECHINFORM”, is held in Ufa today, April 6.
The main goal of the program is revealing of young scientists, working in sphere of innovations, stimulation of mass participation of youth in scientific-technical and innovational activity through organizational and financial support of innovational projects.
65 innovational projects, introduced by young scientists of Bashkortostan, are taking part in the contest – projects, developed in such spheres as biotechnology, IT, medicine of the future, modern materials, new devices and hardware centers.
“The main criteria in project estimation are scientific novelty and prospects of commercialization, i.e. we choose the projects, which can become commercially efficient in the future. Other words, either production setting or implementation of new technologies in production should become the final result of scientific work and this is the main task for young specialists, who demonstrate their projects, their abilities and their vision what the business, based on their scientific designs, should represent” – a member of the jury, doctor of technical sciences and honorable industrial engineer RB Vladimir Shalom explained to “Bashinform”.
The curator of the program “Clever” Alexei Kulikovsky says the Fund for assistance to development of small business in scientific-technical sphere is interested in all directions of science.
“The task of the Fund is not just stimulation of mass participation of youth in innovational sphere but giving young people a chance to receive state backing for making their dreams a reality” - he said.
The program “Clever” is developed in Russia since 2007. For this period of time, not taking 2012 into account, the Fund has chosen 6688 winners. 1910 young scientists from different Russian regions have received grants in 2011. In 2012 the Fund intends to support approximately the same number of innovational projects, offered by young people at the age less than 28.
The results of the spring final session of innovational youth projects within the frames of the program “Clever” will be announced in Bashkortostan already tomorrow. 39 scientists of 150 pretenders have become grant owners in 2011 in the Republic.
