Bashkir grain elevators keep 95,2 thousand tons of grain from Russian intervention fund

During grain purchase interventions of 2008-2009 183,3 thousand tons of grain have been laid in republican elevators. During the drought-2010 this grain was partially used by the state for support of Russian agrarians. At present time the remainder of the grain, kept by 14 Bashkir grain elevators, makes up 95,2 thousand tons, Ministry for agriculture RB reported.

For the last four years Republican elevators – the keepers of grain have received about 500 million rubles of state means for their services.

Problems of grain safety and grain quality were discussed today by representatives of Ministry for agriculture RB and JSC “United Grain Company”.

The press-service of Ministry for agriculture RB reports the claims concerning grain safety to the Republican elevators are absent and grain is kept in quite good conditions.

The Government of Russian Federation jointly with Ministry for agriculture of Russia will make a decision concerning commodity interventions in the grain market in March 2012.

For the reference: JSC “United Grain Company” is a Russian state agricultural company, established in accordance with the corresponding decree of the President of Russia from March 20, 2009, N290 with the purpose of developing grain market infrastructure, grain sales in the world grain markets and active trade and purchase activity in the internal grain market.
