Vyacheslaw Nunzeger: “Technological modernization will raise competitive ability of Russian agriculture”

“Modernization will raise competitive ability of agricultural enterprises” – director of the department for scientific-technological policy and education of Russian Ministry for agriculture Vyacheslaw Nunzeger says – “All necessary financial, legal and organizational instruments for that are present”.

Participants of the conference “Crediting, leasing and technical modernization of agriculture” were discussing these problems in the course of all-Russian agrarian forum, which started working in Ufa.

Participants of the forum are certain that modernization means not just acquisition of new tractors and harvesters. It is necessary to implement new production lines. For example, at present time the need in the lines for primary milk processing is great.

The main directions of state support for agriculture were ventilated during the conference. Thus, about 500 million rubles will be spent for development of information-consulting centers in Russian regions. New investment projects will be developed on the terms of 50%-co-funding.

The federal goal-oriented program “Farmers-starters 2012-2014”, “Development of family cattle-breeding farms in 2012-2020” and registration of lands in property for farmers will become new variants of state support in sphere of agriculture in 2012.

At present time 112 big innovational projects in agriculture are under development in 27 Russian regions. At the same time according to official statistics just 1,5% of big agrarian companies and less than 0,5% of farmers possess up-to-date technologies and the newest machinery for today but at that they produce more than 10% of the whole agricultural output in the country.

The delegates have mentioned that serious progress is achieved thanks to the regional program of technical and technological modernization in agriculture. Thus, such programs are actively developed in Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Irkutsk, Voronezh and in some other Russian regions.
