Business people of Ufa support attraction of investments for development of the city

One thousand citizens of Ufa and 200 representatives of business circles have taken part in sociological poll in 2011 concerning the most actual problems in development of business undertakings.

Ufa administration reports 42% of citizens and 37% of business people positively estimate business conditions in Ufa. As for the business undertakings activity, one third of the interrogated have stated they’d like to go in for business. But at the same time since 2008 the number of people in Ufa, who’d like to start their own business, dropped from 52 to 35% due to financial and economic problems.

Ufa business people consider such problems as imperfection of taxation system (70%), high credit interest rates (61%), administrative barriers and activity of supervisory bodies (59%), imperfection of legislative base (53%), difficulties with getting credits (53%) and corruption of authority (42%) the most urgent problems for today and at that in their opinion tax bodies are considered the main source of administrative barriers for small and medium business (74%).

Characterizing economic situation at their enterprises 36% of business people interrogated have answered that they have means just for keeping their occupation afloat. 17% have means for keeping business and for its development, 29% keep business only due to credits and 14% bear losses.

Business people of Ufa and its citizens positively estimate attraction of foreign investments to economics of the region (79 and 47% correspondingly) and the majority of the interrogated positively evaluate local programs for support of small and medium business (60%).
